T-SPORT DRIVERS STEP UP TO F1

Brackley, UK – 22 November 2010:

After Karun Chandhok’s F1 debut this year, T-Sport is delighted to see another of its former drivers, Sergio Perez, making the step up to Formula One in 2011.

Perez won the British F3 National Class with T-Sport in 2007 before racing in the International Class the following year and finishing fourth. Since then he has raced in GP2, continuing his preparations for Formula One.

The F1 dream came true for the Mexican recently when he was announced as one of the drivers for the Sauber F1 team in 2011.  Everyone at T-Sport wishes him well and will be following his progress.

Yet another T-Sport graduate, Rodolfo Gonzalez, also made his F1 debut this year.  Gonzalez won the British F3 National Class Championship with the team in 2006 and went on to race in the International Class the following year with T-Sport, securing a front row start at the last race of the season at Rockingham.

Gonzalez’s F1 debut came at the Abu Dhabi young driver tests, which took place straight after the final F1 race of the 2010 season.  Driving for Lotus he completed over 500kms on his first day in an F1 car, then came back for more the next day.

T-Sport is proud to have worked with all of its former drivers and wishes them all great success in the future.
